Purl Soho

Last week, a bunch of quilt obsessed women boarded a megabus in a suburb of Baltimore, and headed to NYC to see the Red and White Quilt Show. (More on that tomorrow!) After a few hours at the exhibit, we headed to The City Quilter and then, the mecca of quiltosity, Purl Soho. It was truly a feast for the eyes.

They had a huge variety of Libery of London. Sadly, at $35 per yard, my picture is all I could afford. Also bolts and bolts of Echino, shot cotton, organics, and other hard to finds. I bought the bolt end of some Ruby Star Rising viewfinder fabric, and whipped up this:

Really, for me, the stars of the shop were the fibers. The colors were beyond beautiful. I'm not a knitter, but these might make me change switch teams.

Delicious, right?

Brilliant use of that viewfinder fabric! May have to give that one a whirl sometime.
