I started reading them because I saw a couple of tutorials on how to make a certain quilt block. Since then I have continued to read them because I love to read about and meet new people. I have met some really nice people in some of the swaps I have joined. It has now become almost an obsession. I get so many ideas and learn so much. Last week I learned how to do shirring. Never thought I would be able to do that.
hmmm... I normally start reading blogs because of tutorials, then I poke around a bit for inspiration, and once in awhile I get sucked right in and spend days reading the blog from the beginning and it's those ones that I know I won't ever stop reading :)

I read blogs for the community aspect. None of my friends or family are crafty, and I can talk to them about fabric or patterns or designers without their eyes rolling back in their heads. Here, on the internet, I'm surrounded by a community of people who share my passion. It's wonderful!
It's about two things: eye candy and companionship. None of my family and local friends are into sewing stuff, so this is my way to connect with those who get my madness for fabric and quilting.
I guess it's a little bit of everything--I love the pictures which lead to tutorials! I've met so many quilters and felt so encouraged and supported by people I've never met--sort of renews your faith in human beings, doesn't it? :O) Awesome giveaway!
